Strange Weather Choir is hosting our Strange Folk concert at 7pm, Saturday 28 October 2023 at Hawker College.

Strange Weather celebrated 25 years as a Canberra based community choir throughout the COVID-19 period. The choir was active and thriving in the years leading into the pandemic. We enjoyed healthy membership numbers, and regular performances, including our last choir-produced concert in March 2019. 

Having made it through the lean COVID years, Strange Weather Choir is rebuilding its membership and repertoire. To celebrate, we are hosting our first concert in more than four years.

When we started in 1996, we started as a Gospel choir. Whilst the repertoire has broadened considerably over the 25 years there are still a few gospel songs in the mix. 

The concert will showcase a full program of songs from Strange Weather Choir, several small group performances and a collaboration with Canberra Harmony Chorus - all under the theme of Strange Folk!
